Storyboard workshops
Many teachers often find that their children have lots of imaginative ideas but seem to struggle to structure them into a story. ‘Storyboard’ workshops allow children to develop their ideas into a series of scenes that make sense as a whole story. Once the children are satisfied with their plan, they work in groups to create a ‘human storyboard’. Using various drama techniques the groups then explore each scene in detail to help stimulate language and dialogue that can be used in later writing sessions. Workshops can be tailored to Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 children and can last from one hour to a full day. |
